Microsoft Outlook 2003 Email Account Setup

If you have purchased our optional email service, your email can be accessed via a Browser using the Webmail system or using a standard POP3 email client such as Microsoft Outlook. To set up Microsoft Outlook 2003 to access your email:

1. Logon to a computer that is connected to the Internet.

2.  Open Microsoft Outlook 2003.

3. In the Menu Bar, click on Tools:

4. From the drop down menu, select E-mail Accounts...:

An E-mail Accounts window will appear as shown below.

5. Select the Add a new e-mail account radio button:

 

6.Click on the Next button in the lower right hand corner

7. Select the POP3 radio button:

8. Click on the Next button in the lower right hand corner

An Internet E-mail Settings Window will appear as shown below.

In the User Information section:

9. Type in your first and last name.

10. Type in your full email address (including the .com).

In the Server Information section:

11. Type "pop.secureserver.net" as the Incoming mail server (POP3).

12. Type "smtpout.secureserver.net" as the Outgoing mail server (SMTP).

In the Logon Information section:

13. Type in the full User Name of your email account (typically name@yourdomain.com). You must include the "@yourdomain.com" extension.

14. Type in your email account password as given to you by your systems administrator. Note that the password field is case sensitive. Passwords must be at least 6 characters long.

15. Make sure that the "Remember password" checkbox is checked.

16. Click on the More Settings button: 

 An Internet E-mail Settings dialogue window will appear as shown below.

17. On the General Tab, type in the name that you want this email account to be referred to as within Outlook (to distinguish it from other email accounts that you might have setup in Outlook). If desired (not required), enter your Organization and Reply E-mail in the Other User Information section.

 

18. Click on the Outgoing Server tab.

19. Check the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" checkbox.

20. Select the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" radio button (if not already selected).

19.  Click on the Connection tab.

20. Select the appropriate radio button that reflects how your computer connects to the Internet. Contact your network administrator (or Internet Service Provider) if you need support connecting your computer tothe Internet.

 

 21. Click on the Advanced tab.

 22. Change the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" from 25 to 3535 as shown below:

 

 23. Click on the OK button in the lower right hand corner.

 

You will return to the main E-mail Accounts window shown in #15 above.

24. In the Test Settings section, click on the Test Account Settings button:

A Test Account Settings dialogue window will appear. Outlook will automatically start the testing process.

If an Error message is received, then repeat steps 1-24 and verify that all settings are correct. Contact your network administrator for additional help.

If the test was successfully completed, then a Congratulations message will appear as shown below:

25. Click on the Close button in the upper right hand corner:

A second E-mail Accounts Congratulations window will appear as shown below.

26. Click on the Finish button in the lower right hand corner:

You will now return to the main Outlook interface.

27. Click on the Send/Receive button in the main menu bar:

 28. If the Test Account Settings in step #24 above was successfull, then a "Microsoft Office Outlook Test Message" will appear in your Inbox:

 

29. You have successfully set up your Microsoft Ooutlook 2003 email account.
